The reason I mention it in this context is because the assumed operator of this darknet market contacted me with a “business proposition” (clearly did not read my bio):
I have to surmise that even though this site is targeted towards investigators, LE and likeminded people with a somewhat similar background to mine, it can also be read by those on the other side of the barricade.
I do not expect any of the readers here to be remotely interested in “partnership” offers like the above, but as a caveat I do want to mention The DeepDotWeb story (for those who are not familiar).
DeepDotWeb was a darknet news site (with a presence both on the clearnet and the darknet) and it contained numerous referral links to darknet markets and other websites with illegal content.
It actually operated for a number of years, unmolested by law enforcement, until it became clear that the site operators were profiting from Bitcoin kickbacks through their referral system.
So even though they directly did not host illegal content, they monetised their way of promoting criminal activity and directing traffic towards these darknet sites.
DeepDotWeb was seized in May 2019 and its admins were arrested.

It never pays to promote this kind of criminality, as benign as it might appear to only do marketing for these sites in exchange for some Bitcoin or Monero.
Even when going into the darknet, stay on light side of the Force.
